Life Through Fiona's Eyes

This is Fiona!

She has one of the best lives one could ask for!
She has a family who loves her.
(Here she greets my Grandmother)

She never has an empty dish.
But only gets fed once a day.

She has a great home to roam around in!

And even a heated bed to sleep in!

She has her favorite toys to play with...

and a warm lap to relax and watch tv in.

She is allowed to roam outside freely,

but not too far!

She even has a ramp to use, instead of jumping onto the furniture. She uses this to save wear and tear on her elongated spine.

I hope you have enjoyed this nice trip through Fiona's day. :)

Break In

On Wednesday, December 2, 2009 my world was turned upside down. It had started just like any other regular school day. I woke up, got ready, made my coffee and headed out the door for class. As I left my apartment I noticed that there was something wrong with my car.

It had been broken into.
My poor little car, was ransacked maliciously by thieves who didn't care that I nor my car didn't deserve this kind of treatment.

They busted out my driver side rear window and helped themselves to my personal belongings.

There was shattered glass everywhere through out my entire car.
They had used a screwdriver as the weapon of choice. Not only did they use it to shatter my widow...

but they used it to rip apart my dashboard and take my stereo.
(If you look closely, you can see the indentations that were left by the screwdriver while trying to get my stereo out of the dash.)
I was fortunate enough to have an apartment manager who let me park my car in an unoccupied garage while I waited for the auto glass repair man come to my cars rescue.

Noah showed up with a smile on his face and sincere condolences for the ordeal I had been a part of. He quickly assessed the damages and got right to work.

He cleaned out the remaining pieces of glass that were still hanging around in the window frame...

Vacuumed up the mess the vandals carelessly left behind...

and replaced my window to make my car complete again.
Although my car has all of the necessary pieces to make it whole again, it won't bring back my belongings or my sense of safety. It saddens my heart to know that there are people going through this sort of ordeal on a daily basis.

The next few images were taken at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It's such a beautiful place, I recommend everyone go there when they can!
